The reconstruction of advanced conceptual models offered by Trireme involves the systematic organization and digitization of site-specific characterization information related to the geological, hydrochemical, and geophysical aspects within a 4D relational geodatabase (which considers the temporal factor) in a GIS (Geographic Information System) environment. The geodatabase (GDB) simultaneously manages multidisciplinary information and leads to the generation of multi-source conceptual models, serving as a multicriteria support tool to unveil contamination dynamics and design sustainable remediation strategies tailored to the hydrogeochemical and physical peculiarities of the site.<\/p>\n

The geospatial analysis and interpolation operations of borehole data, parameters acquired from direct push investigations (MIP and LIF), geophysical surveys (ERT), and concentrations of dissolved pollutants in groundwater lead to the development of 3D digital models that illustrate the local geology and delineate both the sources and plumes of contamination within the site-specific context.<\/p>\n

The 2D visualization of aspects schematizing the subsurface hydrogeology and calibration with geophysical surveys provides insights into the conformation of geological structures and hydraulic dynamics on-site, supporting the deployment of tailored remediation interventions.<\/p>\n
